Eight Pieces of Advertising Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, all with cobalt-highlighted advertising marks; two "SWEETSER BROS. / BYFIELD MASS." canning jars; an advertising jug, stamped "John Lyons / Cor Beach & South Sts / Boston;" two "HEALD & CO" bottles; a "JOHN FIELD" bottle; an "M. LOFTUS" bottle; and a "GEARING & HOWARD" bottle. One Sweetser jar includes its original lid, which has a chip. This jar includes minor chips to the interior of the rim. The other Sweetser jar has one rim chip. One Heald bottle has lines and surface wear. The Gearing & Howard has a spout chip. All in otherwise excellent condition with some minor flaws. H (of tallest) 10".
