Four Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, second half 19th century, a four-gallon stenciled jug, stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG," PA origin, circa 1885; a five-gallon ovoid jar with brushed floral motif, Beaver, PA origin, circa 1860; a four-gallon churn with brushed floral motif and old wooden lid, OH origin, circa 1870; and a three-gallon crock, stenciled "E.S..&B. / NEW BRIGHTON / PA." Jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Beaver jar with poor restoration to proper right handle, surface lines to proper right side of jar, and traces of old yellow paint to surface. Churn in excellent condition with two small chips to interior of rim, wear to inner rim for lid, a chip and short line to proper left handle, and an in-the-firing chipped area to bottom edge leading to a thin horizontal in-the-firing line at base. Lid in excellent condition. New Brighton crock with light wear to cobalt, reddish residue to proper right side, hairlines to base, extending onto underside, and two small chips to proper right handle. H (of jug) 19".
