Six-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WHITES BINGHAMTON," NY State origin, circa 1848-1888, ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a double-blossomed plant. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Significant restoration, not affecting decoration. Some fry to decoration. A faint spider line to midsection on reverse. Some shallow chipping to rim. H 19 1/4".
