Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug with Rock Teeth, Signed "Lanier Meaders," Cleveland, GA, circa 1975, ovoid jug with hand-modeled and applied clay face including kaolin eyes with black-slip pupils, ears, nose, broad chin, and smiling mouth with rock teeth. Surface covered in a mottled olive-colored alkaline glaze. Underside incised with Lanier Meaders signature. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 9 1/4".
