Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITES UTICA NY," circa 1865, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a crested bird with turned head and fan-shaped tail perched atop a stylized vine. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. A shallow flake to reverse end of proper right handle. A few rim chips. Some minor staining. A few minor flakes. A minor base chip at base on reverse. H 10 1/2".
