One-Gallon Lidded Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "LYONS," Nathan Clark & Co., New York State origin, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flared collar, and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a tulip plant accented with spots. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Includes Northeastern salt-glazed lid. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. Jar with three chips to proper right handle, two small chips to proper left handle, chips and a 1 1/2" flake to rim, a 1" hairline from rim on proper left side of jar, and extremely minor wear to inner rim for lid. Lid with a chip and thin cracks. H (including lid) 10 1/2".
