Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with an unusual, triple-blossomed daffodil plant motif. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Light wear to spout. Some tiny surface flakes. Two salt drips near base on front. Staining to surface. H 14 1/2".
