Glazed Redware Face Cup, possibly American, late 19th or early 20th century, wheel-thrown featuring a hand-modeled and applied clay face featuring large eyes, pierced nostrils, and a frowning mouth, the surface covered in a mottled orange to brown glaze. Underside incised "Mon(?) B." Provenance: George H. Meyer and Kay White Meyer Collection, acquired from David Good. Handle lost prior to glazing. Otherwise excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 3 7/8".
