Two Pieces of Utilitarian Pottery, American, 19th century, a lead-glazed redware flowerpot with manganese decoration, stamped "JOHN W BELL / Waynesboro, Pa.," late 19th century, paired with a two-gallon stoneware jug with cobalt double-tulip decoration, stamped "J. MANTELL / PENN YAN," NY State origin, third quarter 19th century. Both with restoration throughout. Jug with an additional crack across underside, extending onto base area, crazing to base area and shoulder, and a glazed-over iron ping at base. H (of flowerpot) 6" ; H (of jug)
