Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, second half 19th century, a two-gallon crock with slip-trailed design of a chicken pecking corn decoration, attributed to Brady & Ryan, Ellenville, NY, circa 1885; paired with a six-gallon churn with brushed floral motif, OH origin, circa 1860. Crock with oversalting to decoration, a few rim chips, an in-the-firing iron ping to rim on front, a minor chip to proper left handle, and some light staining. Churn in excellent, essentially as-made condition with a large iron drip descending from an in-the-firing ping on front. H (of crock) 9 3/4".
