Small-Sized Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with squared rim, impressed with John Bell maker's mark at shoulder. Desirable size. Provenance: From a forty-five-year VA collection. Three long hairlines from rim. A minor in-the-firing rim chip. Light wear to rim. Traces of old red paint to underside. H 4 3/4".
