Sewer Tile Figure of a Spaniel, Signed "[H]omer Roudebush," OH origin, early 20th century, molded figure of a seated spaniel with incised details to face, locket, and chain, incised at base on reverse, "[H]omer Roudebush." Homer S. Roudebush (1882 - 1956) appears in federal censuses from 1920 onward as a "Warehouseman" at a pottery in Sebring, Mahoning County, Ohio, and his 1918 World War I draft card specifically calls him a "potter." Further incised "400" on the underside. Chipping around base and underside, one of which is glazed over. H 7 1/4".
