One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "W.H. LEHEW & CO. / STRASBURG VA.," circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with footed base and slightly-flared collar with semi-rounded rim, brush-decorated with a central tulip flanked by swags. Impressed on front with W.H. Lehew maker's mark below a one-gallon capacity mark. Base of collar with small chips and a worn section. Other surface wear. Base chips. A narrow, 1 1/4" diagonal ping to reverse. H 11 1/4".
