Exceptional Small-Sized Redware Loaf Dish with Three-Color Slip Decoration, Norwalk, CT origin, early 19th century, oval form with coggled edge, the lead-glazed interior decorated with overlapping joggled trails of cream-colored, copper, and manganese slip. The lavish decoration, small size, oval form, and remarkable condition of this work make it an exemplary example of early New England redware. Provenance: Collection of Lewis Fenley "Dusty" Parker. A small flake to interior. Minor edge wear. L 10 3/4".
