Scarce Tanware Bank, New Geneva or Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1885, ovoid form with raised banding on top surrounding a carved coin slot, decorated in Albany slip on the lower body with two freehand fuchsia motifs. Dipped Albany slip above forming a drape-like pattern and dipped Albany slip band below. A lesser-seen form in Western Pennsylvania tanware. Wear to slot and wear to raised band surrounding slot. H 4 7/8".
