Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Baltimore, MD origin, second and third quarter 19th century, a half-gallon ovoid jar with brushed drooping floral motif, circa 1825; a one-gallon ovoid jar with swag and hanging tulip motif, circa 1835; and a one-and-a-half-gallon cylindrical jar with horizontal fan-shaped floral motif, circa 1850. Smallest in excellent condition with three minor base chips and minor bubbling to cobalt. Middle-sized jar in excellent condition with a short line at base, a tiny in-the-firing base nick, small traces of old paint to surface, and a minor, glazed-over flake to one handle. One-gallon jar in excellent condition with a minor rim chip, a tiny base nick, and small spots of old paint/residue to surface. H (of smallest) 8 1/4".
