Two Stoneware Milkpans, 19th century, a one-gallon stoneware milkpan with cobalt swag and hanging flower motifs, Baltimore, MD origin; paired with a one-gallon stoneware milkpan with cobalt swag decoration, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA. Baltimore milkpan with top-to-bottom crack from rim and a shorter hairline from rim, as well as a long surface line in one handle, an in-the-firing chip to one handle, and a minor nick to rim. Grier milkpan with a 1 1/4" rim chip, a spout chip, and a long hairline on underside, extending 1/2" up base.
