Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Rose Motif, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES.", Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared wax sealer rim, featuring a stenciled rose motif surrounded by Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling. Cobalt stripes to shoulder and base. Oversalting to stenciling. Chips to interior of rim and inner wax sealer rim. H 9 3/4".
