Scarce One-and-a-Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Batter Pail, Stamped "T.G. DAUB / EASTON, late 19th century, ovoid form with tubular pouring spout, applied clay ears, lug handle at base, and metal-and-wood bail handle. Decorated with cobalt brushwork resembling a flower blossom surrounding the base of the spout. Heavy cobalt highlights to ears at shoulder. Retains tin covers, possibly original. Excellent overall condition with a short faint line in underside, the spout with two chips and a short line. H (excluding lid) 9 1/2".
