Two "DEMUTH'S SNUFF / LANCASTER, PA" Stoneware Jars, American, circa 1900, both with Bristol-slip-glazed surfaces, featuring the cobalt advertising, "DEMUTH'S / CELEBRATED / SNUFF. / ESTABLISHED 1770. / LANCASTER, PA.". One includes a salt-glazed lid. Taller example with a small rim nick and small base chip. Shorter example includes a 4" restored area to rim. Chips to lid. H (of taller jar) 6 3/4".
