Spongeware Dog Whistle, English, late 19th century, hand-modeled in the form of a standing dog on a rectangular base, the surface decorated with sponged cobalt over Bristol slip ground. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. Typical wear to ears. Wear to tips of ears. Other spots of light wear. L 2 3/4" ; H 2 1/4".
