Rare Glazed Redware Lady's Spittoon, Stamped "JOHN W. BELL / Waynesboro, PA.", circa 1880, small-sized spittoon with coved sides, oval opening at shoulder, and applied strap handles, the surface decorated with manganese sponging and covered in a clear lead glaze. Underside impressed with John W. Bell maker's mark. Exceptional form. A 3/4" line from opening at center. Very nice condition. Base with a few shallow chips and minor wear. Light wear to opening at shoulder. H 3" ; Diameter 5 1/8".
