Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with an ornately-brushed number 2 flanked by dashes. Freehand stripe below rim. Several cracks extending upward from base, the longest measuring 3 3/4", some of which extend onto underside. Wear to surface. A 3" salt drip to right side of jar's front. Some staining to surface.
