Glazed Redware Tobacco Jar, Stamped "JOHN W. BELL / Waynesboro, Pa," late 19th century, cylindrical form with flaring base, squared rim, and rope-twist handles, the surface decorated with streaked manganese and covered in a heavy lead glaze. Impressed on underside with John W. Bell maker's mark. Provenance: From a forty-five-year VA collection. Excellent condition with minor surface wear and a small worn spot to interior base. H 6 1/4".
