Two-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Whiskey Jug with Jackson, TN Advertising, probably TN origin, fourth quarter 19th century, cylindrical jug with short spout, impressed with the advertising, "VANDEN BROS / WHISKEY MER. / JACKSON TENN." Salt-glazed surface with later applied material to bottom 3/4 of jug that includes the later incised inscription, "CORN / 120," and impressed circle decoration. Additional varnish is applied over entire surface. Later applied material and varnish to surface, as mentioned. Otherwise excellent condition. H 14".
