One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Incised Line Decoration, attributed to Chester Webster, Randolph County, NC, circa 1860, semi-ovoid jar with flared rim and arched strap handles, the shoulder decorated with incised wavy combing between straight lines. Incised with a serifed "1" on front. Excellent condition with a minor rim nick, a small in-the-firing ping to underside, and minor wear. H 10".
