Very Rare African-American Southern Face Jug, North Wilkesboro, NC, origin, circa 1925, molded jug with metal bail handle, depicting an African-American face with painted surface, eyes, and mouth. One of a small number of jugs made by a Mr. Nelson during the 1920s in North Wilkesboro and discovered in the 1990s. Base chip and minor wear. H 12 1/4".
