Rare Large-Sized Stoneware Filtering Water Cooler, Stamped "HART BROS. / FULTON, NY," late 19th century, tapered cooler with semi-rounded rim, large molded foliate-patterned handles, and squared bunghole with screwhead embellishments, the front decorated with cobalt banding and the large stenciled inscription "STONE WARE / No. 1 / WATER. FILTER.". Stamped with "HART BROS." maker's mark above bunghole. Outstanding size, measuring approximately twenty gallons. Excellent condition with a 4 1/2" hairline from rim above left handle. H 24 1/2".
