One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "James Hamilton & Co. / Greensobro Pa.," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, featuring James Hamilton maker's stenciling at the midsection, along with a freehand stripe at the shoulder and base. Oversalting to surface. 2" x 1" chip to underside at edge, which appears to be in-the-firing. Nicks to interior of rim. Small chip to bottom edge of rim.
