Two Pieces of Greensboro, PA Stoneware, circa 1875, a two-gallon jug with freehand stripe decoration and bold-faced stenciled "2" at base, the midsection stenciled in large letters, "JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / GREENSBORO, PA"; paired with a two-gallon jar with small stenciled tulip and freehand stripes, stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO. / PA". Jug with a 3 1/2" contact mark on right side, spout chips, chips to shoulder molding, lines in underside, and in-the-firing base chip on reverse, which forms a T at base. Jar with 2 1/8” rim chip, a wide 8” X-shaped crack on side, and some nicks and wear to inner rim where lid would rest.
