Three-Gallon "EAGLE POTTERY" Stoneware Crock with Large Stenciled Eagle, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large stenciled federal eagle, holding a banner, which reads "EAGLE POTTERY." Brushed cobalt daubs at shoulder and a brushed "3" flanked by brushwork at base. One fully restored handle. Chips to opposite handle. Significant wear to interior. Crazing and flaking to surface. Painted touch-up to decoration. Hairlines from rim. Rim chip and chips to bottom edge of rim. Sealed cracks in reverse. 1 1/2" base chip. H 14 1/2".
