Scarce Miniature Redware Jar, Incised "Solomon Miller / Oct 1 / 1889," Adams County, PA origin, 1889, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and lead-and-manganese-glazed interior, the underside incised with a Solomon Miller signature and date. Old pencil inscription, "Mary," at shoulder, likely a child for whom the jar was made. Excellent condition with minor surface wear and a miniscule base nick. H 3 1/2".
