Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Impressed Floral Motif, attributed to Jonathan Fenton, Boston, MA, late 18th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and open loop handles, decorated on the front and reverse with an impressed and cobalt-highlighted daisy motif. One handle restored. Significant flaking, primarily to one side. A thin vertical crack extending 4 1/2" up front from underside. Areas of painted restoration. H 13 1/4".
