Rare Early Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Fish Decoration, Stamped "BOSTON," attributed to Jonathan Fenton, circa 1810, approximately two-gallon ovoid jug with tall, tooled spout and ribbed handle, decorated around the shoulder with three stenciled cobalt fish. Cobalt highlights to maker"s mark and handle terminals. Excellent decoration and color. Base chip on reverse. H 15".
