Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crocks, Stenciled "B.V. /W. & S," Ballardvale, MA origin, late 19th century, all of cylindrical form, measuring one, three, and four gallons, bearing the stenciled initials, "B.V. / W.&S.," for "Ballard Vale / Willard & Sullivan." Two include stenciled holly wreaths. Four-gallon crock with a small chip to interior of rim, some faint lines, and light staining. Three-gallon crock with a chip to exterior of rim, a nick to interior of rim, chips to one handle, wear to opposite handle, a 4" hairline from rim on reverse, a 2" hairline at base, and fry to cobalt. One-gallon crock with rim chips and surface scratches below stenciling. H (of tallest) 11 3/8".
