Scarce Glazed Redware Jug Bank, attributed to John Bell, Waynesboro, PA, circa 1850-1880, ovoid form with narrow spout, applied strap handle, and carved coin slot at shoulder, the surface decorated with sponged manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Provenance: Crocker Farm, Inc., Summer 2022 Auction, lot 162. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with two short, in-the-firing lines from slot, which are glaze over. H 4 7/8".
