Glazed Redware Canning Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, cylindrical form with rounded shoulder and narrow, semi-rounded mouth, the surface covered in a lead glaze over light-colored clay, producing a yellowish coloration. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. Wear to rim, interior of rim, and base area. A thin 2 1/4" crack from rim. H 7 1/4".
