Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Flower Basket Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1855, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flower basket brimming with flowers, leaves, and dotted trails. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A 1/2" hole to right side of jug. Some fry to cobalt. Chips to interior of rim. Light staining. H 15 1/2".
