Small-Sized Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, probably Palatine, WV origin, circa 1875, squat-shaped jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, brush-decorated with three freehand stripes. Small chips to interior of rim. A short in-the-firing separation to inner wax sealer rim with adjacent small chip. A long, shallow in-the-firing contact mark to top of rim. H 6 3 /16".
