Rare Small-Sized Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "CENTER WHEELING GROCER / H.F. BEHRENS," Western PA origin, circa 1880, ovoid jar with flattened, semi-rounded rim, decorated with a stenciled rising sun motif surrounded by the advertising "CENTER WHEELING GROCER / BEHRENS." Some tight surface lines in base and underside, most of which are barely visible. Some faintness to stenciling and light surface wear. H 6 1/2".
