Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Impressed Floral Decoration, attributed to Jonathan Fenton, Boston, MA, late 18th century, finely-potted jar with footed base, open loop handles, and heavy tooling to rim and shoulder, decorated with an impressed floral design on the front and reverse. Cobalt highlights to impressed decoration and handle terminals. Thin cracks and crazing throughout. One wider crack to underside, extending several inches up side of jar below handle. A 5/8" rim chip. H 12 1/4".
