One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Swag Decoration, Stamped "W.H. LEHEW & CO. / STRASBURG, VA", circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated around the shoulder with a brushed swag motif. Rim chips. A few base chips. A star-shaped line on underside, including 2 1/8" line that continues onto base. Two minor in-the-firing surface flakes.
