Unusual Stoneware Pitcher with Albany Slip Decoration, probably WV origin, circa 1885, ovoid pitcher with footed base, tall collar, and incised sine-wave decoration around midsection, the surface dipped in chocolate-brown Albany slip and decorated with floral and vine motifs in darker Albany slip. A long wide crack from rim on side of pitcher, which extends onto body, where it forms a reversed J. Spout with a minor chip and a minor worn spot (possibly in-the-firing). Base with minor in-the-firing chipping to bottom edge.
