Three Pieces of West Virginia Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, circa 1875, a two-gallon jug with freehand decoration and the stenciled advertising, "McCabe, Kraft & Co, / No. 50 / Main Street / Wheeling. / W. Va.", Western PA origin; a half-gallon canning jar, stenciled "PALATINE. / W. VA."; and a one-gallon jar, stenciled "BOYERS & HARDEN / 1877 / PALATINE / W VA". Jug with restored spout, some staining and small paint spattering, and in-the-firing lines along handle terminals. Canning jar in very nice condition with a few small chips to inner wax sealer rim, a small chip to interior of rim, and a small base chip. Boyers & Harden jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition with a small glazed-over ping to shoulder.
