Six-Quart Stoneware Batter Pail with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "E.W. FARRINGTON / ELMIRA, N.Y.", circa 1890, ovoid pail with tubular pouring spout, decorated on the reverse with a brushed tulip. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Very nice overall condition. Missing bail handle. A surface line where spout meets body of pail, not visible on interior. Small chips to spout. A minor chip to one ear.
