Two Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Bird Decorations, Stamped "EDMANDS & CO.", Charlestown, MA, circa 1860, two-gallon and three-gallon examples, both with slip-trailed decoration of a spotted bird on a branch. Both with restored handles. Two-gallon jug with additional significant restoration to surface. Three-gallon jug with fry to cobalt, crazing to spout and shoulder, and a 5 1/2" crack to reverse.
