Two Pieces of Baltimore, MD Stoneware, second and third quarter 19th century, a one-gallon butter crock with fan-shaped floral decoration; paired with a three-gallon ovoid jar with cobalt swag and hanging flower decoration on the front and reverse. Cake crock with exfoliation around base, some surface lines at base and on underside, not visible on interior, a few base chips, and a few minor rim nicks. Jar with several thin cracks emanating from underside, a small chip to one handle terminal, some salt drips to one side, and streaks of staining to surface.
