Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Crown and Floral Decoration, attributed to Pfaltzgraff, York, PA, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with rounded shoulder and tooled spout, decorated with two ears of corn composed of dots, flanking a crown with cross finial. Additional swag decoration below. Wavy cobalt lines to the left and right. As-made condition. Bottom of jug is rounded, which keeps the jug from sitting flat. Some additional in-the-firing chips to underside at edge.
