Fine Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry H. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1830, ovoid jar with footed, tall collar, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a leafy stem bearing three tassel-shaped flowers. Heavy cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Wavy line decoration under one handle, and a leafy vine decoration under opposite handle. Excellent condition with three minor rim chips and an iron ping at base.
