Two Midwestern Stoneware Jugs, third quarter 19th century, a three-gallon ovoid jug with cobalt tulip decoration below an underscored cobalt "3", paired with a three-gallon, semi-ovoid jug with double-tulip decoration and cobalt-highlighted capacity mark. Ovoid jug in excellent condition with a base chip. Other jug with a few base chips, some of which appear to be in-the-firing, light surface wear, and a small spout chip.
